We regret purchasing this monitor. The camera is blurry when on night vision, which is the way it’s mostly used. This makes it difficult to see our baby’s face clearly. The nightlight does come in handy and it has a variety of sounds including white noise which can be used and I like that you can control these features from the parent device.

Video quality is poor, the cheaper models have better quality

We bought this camera in a single pack when we had our first child last year. At the time we weren't sure if we would have more kids but we saw this came in a 1 or 2 camera bundle so assumed we could add a second camera down the track if we needed. Now that time is here and apparently you can't buy additional cameras, we needed to have purchased the two camera pack right from the beginning if we wanted 2 cameras. An absolute trap and rip off for new parents. In addition to this, the video quality is poor in night mode, there is a faded ring around the picture and I find it difficult to differentiate between my kid and the cot mattress at times. There is a significant sound delay between camera and parent unit (2-3 seconds) and the connection often freezes. All these things we have just dealt with, it still has served it's purpose but since we need to buy a new monitor now anyway to get a second camera, I'll definitely be steering clear of VTech.

Have had this monitor for about 18 months, has been good. Only complaint is the monitor/screen plastic is very flimsy- cracked and broke in 3 places before 9 months old. VTech said the 12 months warranty doesn’t cover the issue only covered if the device was faulty.

I bought this monitor August 2023. Overall I have been happy with this product, however, the night vision is marred by a cloudy image which impedes the vision of my child. I put up with it for almost a year (lack of time and bother/other things to do!). I have just been in touch with VTech to try to resolve the issue. They have so far been helpful. Other features are good - night light colours work well, though I think they could be less bright. Range is good. Day vision is clear. Night vision of an image close up in clear but not far away (1-2 metres maybe?) - this is when the image becomes cloudy.

Disappointed that you can’t change the camera Position from the parent control device. If baby moves around cot you can’t change the camera to locate the baby.

I started using this 4 months ago and the night camera has started to fail. It goes in and out through the night. The white noise also cuts in and out particularly when Im checking the baby through the app - this wakes the baby up which is incredibly annoying. I contacted their support team as its still under warranty but they sent me a refurbished camera. It worked well at start but that same night the night vision completely stopped working which made it for a horrible night. Im now waiting to get a response from them.

Great light feature, sounds all work really well. High quality image on monitor and when connected to phones. Great camera manoeuvrability. Only concern is this brand camera was recently hacked in South Australia

The quality is nothing to rave about, does the basics but I think you can get much more affordable cameras if basic is what you are after. The last straw for me was finding out we can’t add another camera to this model, even though they sell a 2 camera version of the exact same model. This one has no expansion capacity apparently. Will not be purchasing vtech again.

Do not buy this product - we have been using this monitor for 15 months. The outer casing broke within a few months. Then recently monitor will not charge so has to be connected to a power source. Now the camera rotates towards the wall and I can not see my baby. Very unhappy with this purchase and wish we had not wasted our money.

Love this monitor. Great quality and battery life.

This mother has been a great help to us with our new Bubba. It has many great features like having an app that connects to your phone so you can check how he's going from anywhere in the house or even outside of the house. We like that it has a range of sounds that can be used for soothing as our bub loves the sound, and the different lights that can be used are great for keeping the environment calm. The night vision of the monitor is great, very clear even when the room is dark. The monitor is easy to use and has great sound, meaning you can hear all things quite clearly. The app has a motion detect notification which can be a bit too sensitive at times and meaning you might get random notifications even when you're not at home because the sunlight changed in the room. All in all, great monitor would recommend

Used for 2 months now. Overall it does what you want it to, however for the price I'm disappointed with a few features. The monitor picks up the cameras lullaby/soothing sounds, which means that unless you want to be listening to lullabies the entire time your baby is sleeping, you can't use the sound on the monitor. Soothing sounds aren't picked up as clearly so you can have the sound on with them but then the overall volume is quite low. Picture quality is also not great and glitches at times. If I was buying another monitor, I'd try something different.

Don’t waste your money. I am on my fourth monitor that vtech have sent out due to the nightlight on the baby unit turning itself on all night and waking my 1 year old constantly. I am still having the same issue with the latest one sent out. Vtech are not what they used to be.
