VTech Video & Audio Monitor RM5756HD

Bought this for my youngest new baby granddaughter. They are so happy with this product they can be down one end of house and know Bub is okay by checking the handset. Would totally recommend this product.

I bought this 4 months ago. Started out amazing, but from about 3 weeks ago the night vision camera keeps malfunctioning. It’s either just a pitch black screen or the video keeps blinking, it blinks so much you can barely see your baby. So frustrating! Also the monitor dies after a few hours so it has to constantly be plugged in. The whole point of it was so you could move around the house and have a device to watch your baby on your person. If it needs to be plugged in the whole time I might aswell just pop into the babies room to check on them…? Also the temperature is way off. Keeps showing a temp that is about 3-5degrees higher than it is in the room. Positives: audio is great/clear, good range. Overall though, complete waste of money. Currently looking for another camera

I bought this almost 2 years ago, and it's been the perfect camera. I'm not sure why other parents are having issues. (I'm sorry they are having issues) I love the night vision, and it always connects easily to the main monitor and the app on my phone. I can be at the shops while my husband is home and I can check my daughter is still asleep on the app. It's very clear. There are heaps of setting to choose from, so you don't have to be 'alerted' if your little one makes a sound. You can turn the sensitivity down, the screen brightness up and down etc. We're about to buy a second one for baby number two. We'll see if it's just as good. Also, we have taken this monitor and camera with us travelling and connected it to the hotel wifi with no issues too. :)

We’ve had this monitor for about 3 months. We bought it with the intention of using the wifi and being able to check on baby when we were further away in the back yard. It has been terrible. The wifi stopped working after a month and the monitor itself now is constantly out of range even when we are within a few meters of the connected camera. Don’t waste your money!

Terrible quality camera at night. Can't see baby clearly at all. Like the app and monitor option feature. Shows clearly in daylight only. Fuzzy blurry blob on the screen even with movement and sound sensitivity turned up to its highest it can miss my babies movement

7 months the camera view went completely black. Replaced by baby bunting then the new one in less than a month the camera view went completely black again. The camera will flicker on occasionally but unusable.

Does its job just but It could be better. It constantly needs to be re linked to use the app your phone, which isn’t ideal if you’re not at home. Also the plastic has started cracking and the aerial has broken off and this is just from every day use - moving the monitor around the house and putting the aerial up and down. We’ve only had it about 5 months so I probably wouldn’t buy it again or recommend especially as they aren’t cheap.

Love this monitor!! Amazing video quality, love the night light option. The motion/noise sensor is just a lil too sensitive and picks up everything but not necessarily a bad thing, it’s a great purchase. I also love that I can connect it to my mobile so I don’t have to carry the monitor with me all the time 🥰

This monitor worked for us for around 6 months. And then it stopped pairing with the main unit. We had it replaced by vtech 3 times and they all had the same issue within a week. Ended up getting a refund and getting a different brand.

It works ok with the direct connect, but it wont default to direct connect if youve used wifi in the past. Wouldnt connect to wifi at our hotel because it wasnt password secure and when we used phone hotspotting it was very slow and glitchy. We returned because the temp guage in ours was our glitchy. Our room was 22degrees, monitor said 28, then the next day it reading 33, i was wearing jeans and jumper. It does ok. Not amazing.

Has worked so well for my family. Camera is easy to move as it just needs to plug in. The screen has a strong range. I was able to sit outside with family while bub was inside asleep and the monitor worked perfectly. Easy set up. Super happy with the purchase.

We bought this after having our previous V-Tech monitor replaced twice due to faulty batteries. This model lasted us just 3 months before the hand held monitor got permanently stuck on the starting loading screen. Hand held device refuses to power off and hard reset doesn’t fix the issue. V-Tech have sent us out a replacement unit again however this is the 3rd problem we have had with a v-tech baby monitor in less than 12 months. I would completely avoid the hot pile of garbage also branded as ‘V-Tech’

This set is alright. I love having the parent unit at night, especially as bubs is down the other end of the house. I just wish the app for your phone was a little more consistent with connecting to the camera. The camera is flair clear (slightly pixelated), but the tilt and turn it really doesn’t move that much. The night light feature, along with extra sounds is handy though.

I am fairly happy with this monitor. The remote access to my phone is very handy when I’m outside with my toddler however, the monitor is quite laggy so we often hear her crying before the monitor alerts us.

This monitor was the REPLACEMENT for my previous V Tech monitor that malfunctioned after just 7 months. When I first turned on the monitor, it was making a weird static sound. Ten minutes later, the screen went completely blank and was not working/turning on at all, despite turning it on and off several times. Two monitors from V Tech now have broken/not worked properly. I will never buy a V Tech product again and I do NOT recommend.
