Medela Organic Nipple Balm 7 Grams

I would call it an essential, and I gift it to all of my friends before they become a mum for the first time and encourage they pack it in their hospital bag. It’s highly relieving and effective. I love that it’s organic and I can use it guilt-free knowing I’m not using any nasty chemicals that could harm baby. This is worth its weight in gold!

It was really quick to soothe and smooth cracks that I had early on so I didn’t really need much of it and will probably use it for other things now that I am healed.

As a first time mum I wasn’t expecting this to be so sore when breastfeeding, so I checked the bottle and was relieved to see it was ok to use when breastfeeding and did not need to clean it off. Instant relief when using it and my nipple cleared up in 24 hours!

Nipple balms have been a godsend in the early stages of breastfeeding as well as teething stage. My first impression of Medela Organic Nipple Balm was how lightweight and easy to apply without having to use my own body heat to ‘liquify’ the balm. It is a plus for me that the Medela Organic Nipple Balm does not contain lanolin. The Medela Organic Nipple Balm comes in an easy pump tube and the balm itself has a smooth, yellow and slightly oily consistency. On application, it feels a little oily and it doesn’t smell the best. However, the balm absorbs fairly quick and there’s barely any residue left when it’s time for the next feed. We’re currently expecting our second and have been leaking colostrum. The Medela Organic Nipple Balm has been a savior with preventing crusty build up.

I found it quite lightweight compared to some other creams on the market and liked that it was backed by Medela and natural and safe for baby to absorb (dont need to wipe off before feeding)

It is very moisturising and so quick and easy to apply after breastfeeding. As it is organic, I’m not worried about using it on a regular basis.

I used it with silverettes from the day I gave birth and I haven’t had any pain, cracking or blistering. It may be that my baby has a good latch but I honestly think this helped a lot to protect my skin on my breastfeeding journey.

This nipple balm is so easy to apply, it leaves you hydrated for ages! It helped so much with the beginning of my breastfeeding days, making it that much more bearable. It’s also amazing as a LIP BALM.

All the other over-the-counter products I've tried haven't done much to help with the problem, and I spent months feeding babies in pain. But this nipple balm made a huge difference almost instantly. After just a few uses, my skin seemed almost completely healed. I haven't had any cracked or bloody skin since starting to use it, and no more painful nursing sessions. It's definitely a staple in my nursery feeding station, within reach of the rocking chair. It works so well!

I experienced nasty nipple trauma just about straight after birth and this balm worked absolute wonders over night. Helps heal and soothe very quickly. I like this product way more than lanolin due to this product being so easy to apply. With lanolin I had to distribute the product with more force I guess you could say. Rubbing and smearing which caused more irritation for me. With this product it smoothly goes on and no excessive rubbing. It is more of an oil which I enjoy.

It leaves my nipples feeling more hydrated and supple after using it. I love that it is all organic and I also really like the more neutral natural scent it has, nothing too over powering.
