Avent Ultra Air Soft Soother Deco 2 Pack 18+ Months Assorted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is picky with his pacifiers, especially since he was a bf baby. What we both loved the most about the Avent ultra air pacifier was how soft and gentle it was on his skin and around his mouth. They have an orthodontic shape which he took too. The pacifier also features 4 extra large air holes around the front for maximum air flow and is very flexible. This pacifier and sterilizing case is also 80% plant-based. The colors are vibrant and my son found interest in that. (Personally, I would have preferred the colors to be a bit more neutral, only because I like to color coordinate with his clothes) But, He’s at the point of identifying animals and he quickly was pointing out the monkey on one of the pacifiers, so maybe the brighter colors help LO’s. The bonus points here were for the sterilizing case. It’s perfect to hold an extra paci in the diaper bag and keep it clean after it has been sterilized! I absolutely loved that! I like the shape of the pacifier because it will not interfere with teeth that are growing in. Because they are a similar shape to the pacifiers we already use my daughter liked them and took to them quickly. The shield's extra-large airholes and soft, flexible design give me a peace of mind that she is able to still breathe easily and it will not leave any marks on her face when she’s sleeping face down. The pacifiers is so gentle on her skin. The colors are cute and I love that the designs have animals on them because she is obsessed with animals right now. I like that they’re made with plant friendly materials rather than toxic materials. I like having the option of using the case for outings and would use that if I didn’t already have a pacifier case attached to my diaper bag.

At first looks I loved the case which is so convenient when traveling and the colors. My two year who still uses pacifiers was so excited to take one and try it. At first he pulled it out his mouth and I thought he didn’t like it. But then I saw him put it back in and ever since it’s his favorite. The case is so great for travel and sterilization. The pacifier is very gentle on the skin. The extra large air holes is definitely a plus. I love the design and highly recommended it. Very well made.

The baby pacifiers tend to fall apart or seem unsafe, but as these are rated for 18mo+, he had no problems and seemed to enjoy the spongy feeling of the nipple as well as the harder plastic outer and handle. The designs are super cute, and the bright colors made it easy to find these among a mess of toys whenever it was dropped. My older child liked to play with the monkey one just for fun. The included case is so helpful to keep them clean in my bag and then to help clean & sterilize them on the go. My little one was a preemie so even though he's a toddler, I still try to make sure everything is sterilized in between uses. It's great I can do this on the go as long as I have access to a microwave - really helped my peace of mind and came in clutch during meltdowns on the go. It makes me feel better that the pacifiers aren’t screwing up future teeth!! I also appreciate that the materials are majority plant based. It’s also one less concern for me! I will definitely be seeking these pacifiers out for our next baby (due in March) as well. Other brands that we've used didn't offer the convenient puller part, which is a great feature. I would much rather attach a clip to that than a part of the shield that rests actually on the baby's skin.

My LO isn't a big fan of pacifiers in general, but this pacifier is definitely the one that is in use the longest. We mostly rely on it when we are out and about, and my LO doesn't use it on a daily basis. Since we use this on the go, I appreciate the carrying case. As soon as I opened the box, I was so excited to see the cute designs on the front, a chameleon and a monkey. The clear case is small and doubles as a sterilizer which I thought was very convenient. To find out that they’re made with materials that are considered planet friendly, 80% plant based, is an added plus! The 4 extra large air holes helped to keep my daughter’s skin dry and prevent skin breakdown. She was born with a tongue tie so we’ve had trouble finding the right pacifier for her. She’s now 19 months and she took to these right away. They seem to fit in her mouth pretty easily and she maintains a good suck on it I’m really happy with this product and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a safe, reliable pacifier.

As her mom, I really like the larger ventilation holes; her cheeks don't get red from strong suction like we have experienced with past brands. The designs are absolutely adorable, and she seems drawn to them due to how cute they are. The nipple is soft but sturdy, and it seems more durable than most, so I do think we'll get longer use out of it. The case is also amazing to have because she typically only gets her pacifier when sleeping, so this allows me to keep the pacifier clean and out of the bottom of the diaper bag or purse. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I am a big fan of Philips Avent baby products and I’ve used them since my first child in 2004 all the way until my littlest born in 2023! They are so innovative and always creating great quality products. Now, my son will be 2 in a few months and our pediatrician has discouraged the use of bottles and pacifiers, but I cannot break his sucker habit! I’m glad that these pacifiers are designed for the older baby in mind and I trust that this company has done their due diligence in research and made the nipple as ergonomic as possible for those kiddos who just can’t give up the paci! I really appreciate when a baby item can pull double duty. When I read that the case doubled as a sterilizer, I was intrigued. I’m already going to use the case to carry the pacifier, so it’s not like an additional item I have to carry. We just took an overnight trip to a hotel and it was nice not to worry about the microwaveable sterilizer bags! This is much less wasteful and it’s already in my purse if diaper bag, so it’s not an extra step to think about! (Or forget to pack!) I have a full size sterilizer at home and my dishwasher has a sterilizer setting but it’s nice to be able to use the case if I don’t want to do a whole load of bottles and things. Also, I’m ready to pack the large sterilizer away, so it’s good to have just one small item to deal with. The designs are pretty gender neutral (one was orange, one was purple), but at this point, I’m trying to avoid toddler meltdowns, not analyzing whether my son looks funny with a girly pacifier! My daughter has been using the same brand of pacifier since birth, and is very particular about the specific pacifier style from said brand, so I was surprised to see that she loved these pacis! She and I were both tickled by the cute designs on them, and the little handle is such a classic design (and convenient when you have your hands full). I also love the carrying case that doubles as a sterilizer. Granted, her paci is such an ingrained comfort object, it doesn’t seem like she’ll be making a full switch to a different brand/style at this point, but she used these pacifiers happily before requesting her “other paci”. I also love that these were thoughtfully designed with oral development in mind. I wish I had considered her oral/palate/dental development when selecting a pacifier when she was younger, it just felt so far away! Now at age 2, still using the pacifier, I’m concerned her current pacifier is going to mess with her teeth. I’ll definitely consider these pacifiers with my 2nd.
